I really hate to admit it guys - but this weekend I have been watching MH Live for the summer solstice. It's all trance's fault 
This has raised a number of questions for me;
1. Why do the MH team always seem to get a response from spirit? Not only is it a response - it appears to be recordable evidence.
2. The Summer solsitce is traditionally a very paranormally active time, especially for us Wiccans - is this something we could potentially look into for the future?
3. Why doesn't this always happen for us? What could we do different?
For the record - interestingly trance picked up straight away on a spirit boy called James as soon as the show started, well before Derek picked up on him. He's good

i just think its funny!
i only watched the first hour of it, but the whole bang if your there thing i just feel its so put on its just to get the audience going and make it more exciting

| Real or not,believer or disbeliever,sometimes if you want to keep an audience happy you have to give them what they want,untill i see one of the crew actually throwing something or banging something then i will sit on the fence.3 hours of real investigation/vigil will not make good tv,me falling asleep countless times proves that.I never follow the crowd and i have my own opinion on the program.

So what is your own opinion of the programme then?
And how do you explain what happened last night when you picked up on the little boy called James then 10 minutes or so later Derek picked up on the same?

| My opinion is that i am a believer untill hard evidence of foul play is evident.Most people seem to point the finger at someone off camera,unless i am wrong then has anyone here seen it happen?I know the show is OTT but last night i got a name and felt something before the programme started,I wasnt trying to connect to spirit i was just relaxing,which is how i approach all investigations.For me it was interesting cos it proved i didnt have to be on location to feel spirit,but did the tv play a part in this ?

I think I agree with you now I've seen the programme for real.
Well it was weird I have to admit that.
I'll try it tonight and see if I can get anything.
You raise an interesting point about the TV....cos I don't understand how you can pick things up without being there....

Hi all
I am always suspicious of the amount of recorded evidence they get. As we all know this does not normally happen. Could it be that these are 're enactments' of what has been heard but not recorded at the time?? This is a TV show - if they showed what we normally record it would not be such good viewing although cumulatively what we all sense and see is generally a fair bit.
Lina - would be interesting to know what times of the year are important for Wiccans and other groups and see whether we get more activity at those times.
As for getting things via the TV, could people be making links via the presenters etc through voices? I have been speaking to people on the Internet (typing, not audio) and I have got messages from spirit for those people. So far some of it has proved to be right - waiting to see about the rest! I have heard that mediums can give messages if they connect to people through a voice on the phone. Could this be what happens with Most Haunted???

Hi Angela,
The major significant days are;
Spring Equinox, March 21
Summer Solstice,or Midsummer, June 21
Autumn Equinox, September 21
Yule, or Winter Solstice, December 22
These are at the time where alledgedly the earth and atmosphere etc are at their most powerful.
All Hallows Eve - October 31st is also a very important one but not in terms of the earth and atmosphere- it is to do with respect for the dead.
It would certainly be interesting to do some investigations around this time and see if paranormal activity is high on these dates.
Most Wiccans will confirm this...

| Sometimes just hearing a voice is enough to give that person a connection to give a reading.Also chatting over the net gives a powerfull connection.Its that 1 on 1 link that makes it work. Maybe it not only works for an audable link but also a visual,photos are used as an aid to contact spirit so why not tv,will have to try it again tonight,but then again i will be aware that i want something to come through hmmmmmmm.

Ahh I see. The people I have got messages for do have photos on show and are good friends. Maybe that facilitated a link on those occasions. Wish I could do it more often!
